The North American Butterfly Association (NABA) is launching its "Butterflies I've Seen" web site. We are encouraging the public to spend some time observing butterflies this weekend (May 25-27), then report their sightings to the web site to launch what we believe may soon become the largest biological database. All records that users enter to the site are both retrievable by the individual user, as trip lists, site lists and life lists, and will be mappable and used to answer scientific and conservation questions about butterfly distributions, abundances and correlations with environmental factors.
