Where: Sawhill/Walden Ponds in Boulder and the Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge in Arvada

The Sawhill/Walden Ponds location will be a field trip for some 5th grade students from Heatherwood Elementary School. The students will learn about the wetlands plants, critters and why they are important. Wetlands will be a good place to discuss biodiversity. This will take place on May 15.

The May 4th event will be a wetlands tour of the Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge in Arvada and will start at 9AM. The is open to the public and wetlands functions and values will be stressed. The refuge is the smallest in the refuge system and is completely surrounded by development. The importance of biodiversity will be stressed.
