Barley Row Experiment
=======================

Data for modeling trace gas emissions in barley field Fort Collins, Colorado Experimental Design = Completely randomized design

Block 1 = Rep # 1 located in block 1
Block 2 = Rep # 2 located in block 2
Block 3 = Rep # 3 located in block 3
Block 4 = Rep # 4 located in block 4

Control = Control plots or zero N fertilizer plots
DCD = Plots received 90 kg urea-N / ha and Dicyandiamide was applied with urea at a rate of 9 kg / ha
Meister = Polyolefin coated urea (MEISTER-7) was applied to the plots at a rate of 90 kg N /ha
Urea = Plots received 90 kg urea-N/ha

Barley row = trace gas measurments were collected within the barley plants drill
Fertilizer band = trace gas samples were collected between the barley plant rows (Fertilizer N was applied between the barley row plants)

Duncan, Puerto Rico
=====================

Data for modeling trace gas emissions in Duncan soil in Puerto Rico
Weekly samples collected from 10/05/1993 to 9/18/1995

Samples codes:

If plot # is 13 to 18 and date is from 10/5/93 to 3/8/94 then field is Sorguhm
If plot # is 1 to 6 and date is from 11/2/93 to 10/25/94 then field is Duncan Non Plow
If plot # is 7 to 12 and date is from 11/2/93 to 5/3/94 then field is Duncan Cultivated field (Plow)
If plot # is 7 to 12 and date is from 7/5/94 to 10/25/94 then field is Duncan Cultivated field (Plow and limed)
If plot # is 1 to 24 and date is from 10/31/94 to 9/18/95 then field is Duncan lime and N-Fertilizer study

Experimental design for three studies

Study # one

  • Sorguhm field is a completely randomized design

    Study # two

  • Paired study
    From 11/2/93 to 10/25/94 Six rings in the Duncan non plow field were paired with a cultivation treatment from 11/2/93 to 5/3/94. The soil was plowed on 11/2/93. Between 5/3/94 and 7/5/94 measurments were collected only on the non plow Duncan site. From 7/5/94 to 10/25/94, the same initial six rings in the Duncan non plowed were paired aging with The new cultivated site was plowed and received one lime application (7/5/94 to 10/25/94) On this paired study plots were paired in the following way
    1 <=> 12 ; 2 <=> 11; 3 <=> 10 ; 4 <=> 9 ; 5 <=> 8; 6 <=> 7.

    Study # three

  • Duncan limed and N-fertilizer study was a completely randomized block design

    LNF => Limed but not fertilized
    NLNF => Control (No lime, No Fertilizer)
