NREL Scientists Participate in 24 hour BioBlitz

Two NREL scientists will be participating in the Grasslands BioBlitz 2004. The BioBlitz is to be held at the publicly owned managed grasslands near the border of Jefferson and Boulder counties in Colorado (the US Department of Energy’s Rocky Flats Visitors Center) on June 25-26, 2004. A BioBlitz is an event undertaken to identify as many species of plant and animals in an area as possible within 24 hours.

Drs. Emma Broos and Johnson Nkem from NREL have volunteered to identify soil microinvertebrates, specifically nematodes.
