Site Location

This GLIDE site is located in west Wales, 10 miles north of Caerfyrddin (Carmarthen).

Site Area

Site area is 79 ha.

Site Elevation

Site elevation is 126 m.

Annual Rainfall

Mean annual rainfall is 1150 mm.

Annual Temperature

Mean annual temperature range is 4°C - 17°C.

Soil

Soil type is silurian, a relatively free draining soil. pH is around 6. The soil is nitrogen and phosphorus deficeint.

Native Forest/Vegetation Types

The native forest is oak, and the native vegetation type is Pencader (rabbit grazed upland pasture) cheifly Agrostis.
