Native Forest/Vegetation Types

Pseumenz is the dominant tree species. Stand density is 2080 trees/ha with basal area of 48.6 m2/ha. The ecoclimatic region of Shawnigan Lake is coastal south pacific cordilleran. Dominant shrub species is Gaulshal and Mahonerv. Dominant moss species is Kindoreg. Dominant herb species is Pteraqui.

Principal Biome/Ecoregion

Holdridge life zone is cool temperate wet forest.
