Based out of the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory, the WCNR-Ethiopia Strategic Alliance is a consortium of U.S. and Ethiopian partners that are working to protect Ethiopia’s natural resources through education, research and engagement. The alliance includes academic institutions, government agencies, non-government organizations, local communities, and individuals. For decades, WCNR faculty, researchers, students and alum have had a distinguished presence in Ethiopia; ultimately leading to the creation of the Alliance. Formalized by the recent visits by President Tony Frank and Dean Joyce Berry, WCNR and its partners continue to expand its mission to foster stewardship, conservation and sustainable-use of natural resources.

The The Africa Center for Sustainable Ecosystems and Societies under Global Change research group invests in innovative and interdisciplinary research that cross-cut conventional disciplines in an attempt to tackle global environmental and sustainability issues. Specifically, The Africa Center members address complex issues of biodiversity, ecosystems, wildlife, livestock and human health well-being, and the interactions that occur between these issues across spatio-temporal scales. The Africa Center members are actively involved in research, education, and collaborative engagement between institutions in Africa and the United States to promote sustainable ecosystems and societies.
Center for Collaborative Conservation is a place where stakeholders can come together to collaboratively discuss, define, study and implement conservation practices to sustain both the earth’s ecosystems and the people who depend upon them.
The Geospatial Centroid at Colorado State University is dedicated to facilitating campus-wide communication about events, research, and education in geospatial sciences. The Centroid is a resource and research center at Colorado State University established to provide students, faculty, and the Colorado community with information about GIS at CSU and how these activities link to broader statewide, regional and global initiatives.
