Wildebeest portrait Koiyaki is named after the place where she was collared, using the Maa name. Koiyaki was pregnant when we collared here, but with our collaring safe for the baby and the animals usually on the ground for five to eight minutes, her calf should do fine. In the image, Dr. Robin Reid of Colorado State University watches Koiyaki recover from the immobilizing drugs she was given. When the reversing agent was administered to the animals, they recovered within just a minute.
