Wildebeest portrait Lempaash means "Open Place" in the Maa language. From the photograph, you can see how little vegetation there is and how dry conditions can be at this time of year. Lempaash was in very good condition when he was collared. Here, he is being given time to recover and was soon to get up on his own.
