Wildebeest portrait Ledama means "Mid-Day" in the Maa language, with this wildeebest named for the time of day in which we collared him, almost two in the afternoon. Ledama was one of the males that we collared who seems to have a territory he already defends. As we drove through the area late in the day, we came across Ledama, not far from where we had collared him.
