Biodiversity Fairs and Festivals

There are many other ways to take part in Biodiversity Month, apart from BioBlitzes and Nature Days. Museums, botanic gardens, scientific organizations, NGOs and community groups can organize a Fair or Festival that explores biodiversity through activities such as a:

  • guided nature walk in a natural area, park or even urban area
  • a wild, edible and medicinal plant walk
  • community habitat restoration
  • special Free Day at museums, zoos or botanic garden, with a Biodiversity Theme. For example some museums are organizing behind the scenes tours of collections or inviting local research and conservation organizations to organize interactive exhibits and booths

Let us know about activities that you have organized or will organize in May 2002 for Biodiversity Month. Use the resources below to help us raise the profile of your event and network it with others.
